Female students of the University of Natural Sciences were honored as Outstanding Young Citizens of Ho Chi Minh City in 2025

With outstanding achievements in academic performance, scientific research, and community service, Võ Ngọc Minh Anh, a student of the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Science, VNU-HCM, was honored at the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Outstanding Young Citizen Awards, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union on January 1, 2026.

At the ceremony, Minh Anh was recognized as one of the city’s outstanding young individuals in the field of science and technology, and notably, one of the few female representatives honored this year. The title not only acknowledges her persistent efforts in learning and research but also highlights the increasingly visible role and contributions of female students in key science and technology disciplines.

In 2025, Võ Ngọc Minh Anh received the Vietnam Women in Science and Technology Award, jointly organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and the Ministry of Science and Technology. This achievement placed her among the 20 most outstanding female students nationwide, becoming a source of pride for the University of Science in particular and VNU-HCM as a whole.

Throughout her studies, Minh Anh has consistently maintained strong academic performance while actively engaging in scientific research. She is a co-author of one paper presented at a B-ranked international conference, the lead author of one paper at an international conference, and the author of five papers presented at national scientific conferences. Notably, she was honored with the Best Presentation Award at the International Student Scientific Forum 2024, along with several other professional awards in the field of information technology, demonstrating her solid research capacity and strong commitment as a young scholar.

Alongside her academic pursuits, the female student from the Faculty of Information Technology has been actively involved in volunteer and social welfare activities. Minh Anh was entrusted to deliver the Congress Letter at the First Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union Delegates, term 2025–2030, addressed to union members and young people across the city—an important milestone reflecting the Youth Union’s recognition of her credibility, leadership, and sense of social responsibility.

The title “Ho Chi Minh City Outstanding Young Citizen 2025” is a well-deserved recognition of Võ Ngọc Minh Anh’s comprehensive efforts, while also promoting the image of University of Science students as dynamic, creative, and driven by a strong aspiration to contribute to society. It stands as vivid evidence of the vital role played by the younger generation of intellectuals in the development of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the country as a whole.
